CONNECTING WITH AUDIO
KidNuz had already done all the hard work. They had the killer podcast concept, the cool name, an incredible team of news professionals on the job. In short: everything except…the actual podcast.
So, the KidNuz team approached us to help them create a proof-of-concept episode to be used as part of their pitch deck to potential investors, presenting us with the general idea, some raw narration audio, and a request that we spin the above into a completely finished, pro-level podcast.
Come Together Creative jumped into action (audio projects are the best!). Here’s what we did:

let’s talk
In back-and-forth, in-depth conversations with KidNuz, we co-invented an audio identity for the podcast, dreaming up a palette of sounds and music that would take the seed of the KidNuz idea and bring it to full flower
sound off
Once the audio ideation work was done, we created a music/audio “bed”, or background, for the show, choosing appropriate stingers, transitions and other sound effects—as well as vibe-setting grooves
make me sound good
We also worked on improving the quality of their raw narration audio, including advising on how to record voice without distracting room reflections (which make things sound boxy or echoey) and choosing the best microphones and other recording gear to fit their budget
your theme song
Most importantly (and most funly—is that a word?) we composed and produced bespoke podcast intro/outro theme music that fit the fun, zippy vibe of the show, with the entire process—from generating the first demo drafts of beats and tunes to applying the last coat of professional audio polish to the finished product—being handled in-house
